Headaches and Migraine Treatment

Did you know many headaches actually originate from neck and shoulder muscle tension? Poor posture, lots of time sitting at a desk, working on laptops and repetitive shoulder movements can all contribute to the problem. Releasing tension in the shoulder and neck muscles, and mobilising the stiff joints in the neck and upper back, can quickly bring lasting (and welcome!) relief. Migraines have many triggers (dehydration, stress, hormonal fluctuations and dietary factors) but ensuring the neck, upper back and shoulders are free of tension and moving correctly can greatly reduce the frequency and severity of episodes.

During your initial appointment, we'll ask you a range of questions and conduct a thorough physical assessment of the problem area. We'll explain the cause of your pain, and a treatment plan will be tailor-made for your diagnosis.

Does Headache Treatment Work?

Here's what a few of our patients have said about their experience of Headache and Migraine Treatment at the Recovery Lab, on Google reviews:

"I have been treated by Marianne on and off over the last 10 years - originally for migraines and now for shoulder issues. For both the results have been significant - far fewer migraines and the pain in my shoulder is reducing all the time. Marianne’s evident deep knowledge, her holistic approach and her wonderfully kind and calm character makes her treatment times superb. Can’t recommend highly enough!" - Helena G, Bath

"My husband and I have been to Marianne many times, I go for sinus and headaches but am normally sorted after a few sessions, very friendly and relaxing and nice treatment room" - M Sardo, Bath

"After dealing with daily tension headaches and ongoing upper back pain for so long, I didn't expect such a big change - but Marianne has been incredible. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, but also so understanding and easy to talk to. Thanks to her treatment, my headaches have almost completely gone and my back has really improved. It's made a huge difference to my quality of life" - Clare H, Bath
